"Church Christmas Dinner"

(The winning Ginger Bread cake)

(Santa arrives! woooo Whoooo)
(Bishop Brad, 1st Councilor Wes and EX Sec Jeff do the EmCee work)
( A quick family ward christmas picture, wish they would use this one on the web page)

( A huge turn out!)
We went to the Church Ward Christmas dinner tonight! It was a huge turnout, but conspicuously there were a few regulars that were no shows. Sandi Won first prize for the best Ginger bread house made from scratch. She got a $25 dollar gift certificate from our Bishop and the ward. I mostly visited while everyone else sat and ate dinner. If I can't see it being cooked I don't eat it. Ha!
Taylor went over and sat with friends and enjoyed the company and then we went and stood in line for our Christmas family picture which I hate because I'm just plane not photogenic!

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a great time!

Y & T "Yesterday and Today" 80's Hair Band

(Front man Dave Maneketti jumping around and rocking out all night.)

My brother Steve and I had a chance to check out and meet the band Y&T. I was given V.I.P. tickets last month from my company. I found out front man Dave Maneketti is three days older than I. We Celebrated with music and drink and beautiful women! Mark Gilmore, your the Man! Here's a toast to you !
It was a great time at a private club, Club Madrid in the Sunset Station Casino, a talented band, fun for everyone!

Opportunity Village's Magical Forest!

This year AutoNation gave us V.I.P. passes to the annual Magical Forest display at the Opportunity Village. It was warmer than usual, (we go later in December) and the crowd was smaller. We had tasty funnel cake and hot cocoa. Yummy! We go every year!

Spirit Week at school

Taylor enjoying her first year in Student Council, was selected as one of the Students to make posters and signs for this Months Spirit week. We spent a few hours but got it done. This was the poster right before we put on the Styrofoam stickers of the cheerleaders and sports icons.
Were very proud of her!

Family loyalty comes first....

Max Hall makes comments after the BYU/Utah games last week. The winning est Quarterback at BYU, Hall let his sentiments known about the Utah program. The Hall family is a Class Act. No one should be treated like they were last year at Rice stadium.

I was proud that Mad Max, "Manned up" and let em' have it!

I would rather have seen him go out above it all, but who am I to talk.

Taylor still earning the Honor's!

4th Grade is always a bit tougher for everyone. I remember well. She is doing great on the Piano and is looking forward to being in Band in a few years.
The instrument? The jury is still out!

Taylor- 4th Grade and Beautiful

We had to retake Taylor's picture. The first one she had such badly chapped lips we sent them back. I made a special trip to the school, bought the best package two hours ahead of picture time and when they called her in they sent her back to her class. Finally, the called her individually to report to the pictures station. She had been crying as I had told her she would be taking them again that day and felt left out. Still she took a beautiful picture and yes, still their is an abundance of Idiot's in the world.

Salt Lake City, Trip

We went up for a couple of days again to meet family and celebrate a birthday. It snowed Saturday and was a beautiful two days. We went to the Gateway mall and spent some money to stimulate the Utah economy, Sandi found a beautiful $700.00 Necklace at one of the Jewelers. It was cold, but Rubio's was awesome food as usual, (we took up half the place) and again at Pizza Factory Saturday night! I tried to get as many pic's as I could but we were busy. We stopped at the property on the way home.
It will look better when the house is finally finished. Great Trip!

"Salt Lake City" or bust

Off to SLC this weekend for a reunion, birthday and Bill O'Reilly book signing. See you all at Rubio's and Pizza Factory... Same time same station.

Thanksgiving at "Care Bears"

We celebrated once again the pre-Thanksgiving family dinner at "Care Bears" day care run by Carrie and Matt Cox. All the children that attended brought their parents, siblings and a pot-luck item. Fun was had by all. We got to stand up and give thanks individually for all our blessings. A great time, delicious food, great memories!

Taylor's field trip!

Taylor's 4th grade classes took a field trip the to McCaw school of Mines. The interesting part of this trip was the Museum was built less than 20 Feet from the very Elementary school I attended several centuries ago. Formerly called Basic Elementary School. It was named after the City of Henderson's first name, Basic Magnesium. The plant was built during WWII. The School's name was later named after the 1st and longest serving principle, Gordon M. McCaw.

(footnote:) in sixth grade I had an intricate and sophisticated, spy network operational within the school grounds that was referred to as U.N.C.L.E. I was voted most likely to succeed.

Mom turned 85 years old on the 30th. God Bless her! A wonderful wonderful woman and Mother. Chinese dinner for all! May she have many many more!

Church "Trunk or Treat"

Winding up the night!
Sandi preparing to hand out the goodies!

Huge turnout!

(Bret, Wes and Brad, Chief cooks and bottle washers!

Friend and Metro Officer Mike Butters set up a crime scene trunk or treat, here he arrests Sam Cox! (long over due)

Thursday night it was off to the Church parking lot and recreation area for the annual Trunk or Treat. My two hours, up late pumpkin carving contest entry took a dismal 75th place.

A lot more quite this year, more people, lots of children. I had to run back and get my pumpkin who was sitting alone at the table after everyone was gone.
