It was at least 40 degrees and with the wind blowing at 25-30 MPH the chill factor had to put it even colder. It was miserable.

Even the ESPN camera man was finding ways to keep warm all night. Don't know how the players managed. I think that they had heaters on the sidelines.

At Halftime, the BYU Cougar band played and truly showed up the Oregon State band.....

Oregon State did a pre-game performance. We weren't too impressed!

Sandi and I were able to get to the 2009 Maaco Bowl at Sam Boyd stadium where I played for UNLV years ago, to watch the BYU Cougar's and the Oregon State Beavers fight it out! The traffic going and coming home was slight as most of the Oregon fans left at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Who could blame them with taking a beating from BYU and the miserable and I mean miserable cold and wind that never let up. BYU took charge early on and never looked back. The half time show was spectacular, honoring our men in uniform complete with two Air force Pave Hawk helicopters doing a halftime pass. The Cougar crowd was in it the entire game with non stop cheering. For those of you watching on ESPN it was as great of a game on TV as at the stadium. It was good to join family again... The post game pictures are on the way. What an awesome time. I was too cold to be hungry or thirsty even though my wife attempted to force feed me some hot chocolate she purchased. Wish you all could have come.. It was a great game!

"Company Christmas Party"

Sandi and I went to the AutoNation company party Saturday night. Taylor went out with a friends family and ended up spending the night. Sandi and I won a significant amount in gift cards with the raffles and Bingo games we played. We were one number off of winning a big screen TV and Blue ray DVD player, the grand prize. The food was great, especially when my wife and I were the first in line before everyone else could contaminate the food. It was a nice turnout. Many that I thought would be there weren't and a lot that I thought wouldn't be there showed up. It was a great night. There was no alcohol allowed because it was held in the show room of one of the Dealerships. All in all it was fun fun fun.....

"Out Shooting"

My Brother in Law and nephew went out Sunday before church and fired off about a 1000 rounds. Got to try his new skeet machine. I still have to practice more with the shot gun. The Tactical hand gun contest got pretty intense. Never the less, I had to head home to narrate the church Christmas program. It was a good Program. I enjoyed it again for the 4th year...

December "update"

Taylor received an Art award at her school. Her Teacher/Parent conference went fabulous, she is number two in her class. We also were able to take a picture of her poster for "Spirit Week" that was put up at the school. We are very proud of Taylor! Also, Dad's birthday was this month! We had a good Birthday this year!
