"Senior Veteran" Navy "Ripple"

Mom shows off her new American Legion Post 40, Henderson, Nevada Christmas present. Mom, all of 5' 1" had to get a waiver due to height regulation to become a Navy "Wave" during the 1940's when great Americans were defending the War effort. Because of her size they referred to her as a "Ripple" but that didn't keep her from enlisting. This was the beginning of a Military dynasty in the family. Mom went on to later Marry an Air Force Fire Captain and later Fire Chief. Dad served in both the Army and National Guard receiving the rank of Master Sgt. They would have five children, the youngest son would follow Mom's footsteps and join the Navy and become a Navy Corpsman and air/sea rescue operator aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea and hold various positions in the American Legion up to and including Post Commander, and a their oldest son serving in the United States Marine Corps. A "Mustang" Marine... American Legion member and Marine Corps League member.

The Henderson Veteran's memorial in Henderson, Nevada Honors all the veteran's from Henderson who served in the service. One day all our names will appear in one of the three walls. A legacy to a great family tradition of Honor, Integrity and Courage.

God Bless Mom and God Bless America and those who have written a blank check payable to: "The United States of America" for all their service and some for the ultimate sacrifice.

"Food Storage"

Tonight we purchased sever hundreds of dollars of wholesale meats , probably enough to get us through the next several months if not a year or more. Sandi carefully selected the best cuts for our food storage. We also ordered freeze dried packages, and a few more 72 hour backpacks. Gee, I wish buying Ammo was this easy...

We are still working on purchasing much more in the next few weeks and hopefully moving a ton of it to the property in Utah...

Were keeping or water drum here for now... with the economy on the dangerous downturn and after our last Stake Conference, we are jumping on this now... The new generator will be here in a few weeks.

If you need help or direction we have an awesome 52 page booklet "Gone before you get there" that will awe you upon completion. Talks about every possible food product for survival and the items that will disappear first from the grocery shelves.

"Future MENSA member"

With the usual anticipation, we have been waiting for report card day. After three progress reports of straight "A's" the results are in. Four straight years of Honor rolls. In keeping with family tradition, Taylor L will no doubt join the ranks of MENSA with her father and soon Aunt Linda.

Congratulations Taylor L. Looks like it's off to the Adventure Dome again!!!!

How's that "Hope & Change" working out for you?

There are more people out of work than since 1984, more homeless, the economy is in the toilet, millions are losing their homes, the Dow down lower than in History, the S&P in the Abyss somewhere in the Ocean, Global economy teetering on the edge, Al-Queda Gearing up for a U.S. withdrawal, the country closing in on social unrest, unemployment at a new record high, the Stock Market is a joke.
Queers think the word "Marriage" is just another word for union as was "Gay" was for Homosexual, there's a guy in the White House who is clueless with no direction, no end in sight for recovery, people purchasing guns and ammo at historic rates.

And all the media is talking about is Michele NoBama's clothes and hair style....

Well, he did promise "change", you illiterate, ignorant, uneducated, uninformed, uncaring, NoBama voting fool's!

Hope it's working out for you!

"We must all Sacrafice" each and everyone!

While most of Americans shuffle through their daily papers clipping coupons and searching for their discounts, Mr. Fraud NoBama et. al., throw expensive parties several times a week. Last week it was Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire, and how about the classy comments on CNN where Mrs. NoBama exclaimed, "we have cooks all day long and we can have french fries any time we want!"

Some how comparing this to Barbara Bush who would exclaim, " Because of our often times skewed schedules, we are blessed to have Gourmet cooks at the ready to prepare meals for us with little or no notice."

With champagne and caviar gushing from the White House entertainment room, entertainment abound, and on the tax payers dime, NoBama wastes no time spending his "Blank" "Welfare" check also paid by American Taxpayers, as he lives in his new Government housing.

But, according to Nobama, we must all make sacrifices! Except him who is obviously getting some SERIOUS PAYBACK for his race with all this tragic stimulus spending...

God Help our Children and Grandchildren as the Marionette dances on and on and on and on!

The Wife's Birthday!

With family in town we all spent the weekend relaxing and eating, mostly. Sunday morning I took my Mother-in-Law to Mass where I was surprised to see the absolute reverence, before during and after the meeting. We didn't go to church, Sandi had a friend cover her class. I leave after the first meeting anyway.
Breakfast was waiting when we returned. Sandi took her usual nap for the day, and we just took it easy. Later we went to the Lone Star for dinner. As usual, Taylor L was outnumbered and spent most of the dinner listening. She usually takes over the conversations. Sandi got a few new games and Taylor L and I gave her a new Wii controller and new programs. She has managed to over take my -7 in golf with an-8. I can't seem to touch that score. Now that I think about it we didn't even have a cake. I'll put that on my to do list for Wednesday night.
My mom is getting up in age and with stomach problems was unable to join us.
Since I have nothing to do with my Sib's, only Sandi's side was there for the celebration. Sandi's niece is getting married Easter weekend. I won't be able to go to AZ. for the ceremony.
All in all it was a Happy 42nd. Better pick up some ice cream as well.
